The future for this car was uncertain after being damaged enroute to the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, Arizona. This will be the first California Zephyr railcar to find a home at the Illinois Railway Museum, as well as their first Vista Dome. Congratulations, IRM! The IRM has a post about the acquisition on their website, and they are accepting donations to help with the costs involved. The link to their blog is here: http://www2.irm.org/blogs/archives/792-Silver-pony-Update-and-other-passenger-stuff!.html ### **SITE UPDATE** Photo Addition

Full details on the railcar can be found here. ### January, 2010 ### **SPECIAL REQUEST** A car owner has requested help from anyone out there who may have original artwork for the plaques that were affixed to the CZ railcar steps. These are the small oval signs, one saying "Watch Your Step" and the other says "California Zephyr" as seen below. This artwork is needed for reference on a project, and you can certainly retain ownership. If you have this original artwork, or know where such can be found, please use our contact form to let us know. *Thanks to Loren Dunlap for these photos ###
